Check PF Balance Without Internet – New SMS and Missed Call Services
If you’re facing issues logging in to the EPF passbook portal, don’t worry! EPFO has added new ways to check PF balance without using the internet.
Check EPFO PF Balance by SMS
You can get your PF balance by sending an SMS. Make sure your UAN is active and linked with Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account.
Steps:
- Type: EPFOHO UAN ENG
- Send it to: 7738299899
- ENG = English. For other l anguages, use codes like HIN
This service is available in 10 languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali.
Check EPFO PF Balance by Missed Call
You can also check your PF balance with a simple missed call.

Steps:
- Call: 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number
- The call will disconnect automatically
- You will receive an SMS with your PF balance details
Note: Your UAN must be active and KYC should be fully updated.
EPFO PF Transfer Made Easy – No More Employer Approval
From January 15, 2025, transferring your PF while changing jobs will be much simpler.
- In most cases, you won’t need your employer’s approval
- The PF transfer will be faster and hassle-free
- The joint declaration form process is now fully digital

If your UAN is linked to Aadhaar, updating your personal details is now easier:
