Noida Authority’s Warning to Homebuyers
The Noida Authority has issued a significant update for homebuyers, particularly those who own industrial and IT/ITES plots. Cases of non-compliance may lead to the cancellation of plot allotments.


Cancellation of Allotments for Non-Compliance
Plot owners who fail to obtain completion certificates within the stipulated timeframe may face cancellation of their allotments. On January 2, the authority issued final warnings to these plot owners.
Compliance Requirements for Plot Owners
Lokesh M, CEO of the Noida Authority, stated that plot owners are required to construct buildings and secure completion certificates within the allowed timeframe. Failure to comply will result in legal actions, including the cancellation of allotments.

Referral to the State Government
The authority has decided to refer cases of industrial and IT/ITES plots, under both industrial and institutional categories, to the state government. This step provides plot owners a final chance to clear overdue payments or address non-compliance issues.
Extension of Deadlines for Functionality Declarations
A June 3, 2022 government notification and a December 20, 2023 order extended the timeline for declaring plots functional until December 31, 2024.

Status Review of Industrial and Institutional Plots
The Noida Authority recently reviewed the status of plots under the new guidelines:
- Industrial Plots:
- 206 plots need functionality declarations by December 31, 2024.
- 114 plots were declared functional.
- 80 plots remain non-functional, including 30 with overdue payments.
- 4 plots were cancelled due to liabilities.
- 8 plots are involved in litigation.
- IT/ITES Plots (Institutional Category):
- 107 plots were reviewed.
- 16 plots have obtained functionality certificates.
- 91 plots remain non-functional.

The authority’s move follows its review of the updated status of plots and aims to ensure compliance. Non-compliant plot owners are urged to act promptly to avoid cancellation.
